MissionEssential Systems Administrator in NEW ALBANY, Ohio

The Systems Administrator will work closely with both local and remote technology team members, Program Managers, customers, and vendors focusing on Enterprise server and storage infrastructure and support. This role will also as an Administrator with a variety of systems supporting day to day operations.;Duties & Responsibilities:;Service Desk related requests from both local and remote employees.;Work alongside Mission Essential network and system administrators. Duties will include Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, Storage, and IIS administrationAssist with any Unified Communications duties that include, moves, adds, changes, and maintenance of our Unified Communications (Skype for Business / Polycom VTC) systemsParticipate in the creation and maintenance of documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge base visibility;Analyze new and existing systems and determine how they can achieve client needsReport security settings, changes, and issues using the Service Desk and Change Management processAssist with system maintenance and problem resolution, to include operating system patches, firmware/software upgrades, and system optimization techniquesAssist with installation of new hardware and software and ability to help train IT staff and employees on its useManage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocationsPerform systems monitoring to detect performance issues, security holes, and unauthorized intrusionFile server administration including the creation of network shares and associated permissionsTroubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPO), Active Directory, DNS, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), RDS, SSLVPN, Smart Card Authentication;Assist with asset tracking, configuration, warranty issues, new equipment selection and cost analysis as neededParticipate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software and hardware products and servicesPerform other duties as assignedJob Specifications:Must be detail-oriented and organizedMust demonstrate effective time managementThis position requires the employee to understand verbal and written instructionsMust have the ability to complete tasks promptly as well as the ability to meet deadlines when applicable to ensure proper implementation and project completionThe employee is required to communicate and work effectively with other employees using varying methods to communicate with customersStrong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilitiesThis is NOT a remote opportunity and requires the employee to be onsiteAbility to work independently on longer-term projects and keep project plans up to dateOther Requirements:Must have on-call availability for end users to perform networking, desktop support, systems administration, and security dutiesMust be available to work long hours if required maintaining normal system operation
